Competition-winning design of a luxury resort in southern China unveiled. This Aedas-designed resort development is located on the Hengqin Island in Zhuhai, overlooking the Niujiaokeng Reservoir and natural scenic area of Lake Tian.

Nansha Kingboard Free Trade Zone Mixed-use Project is located in Guangzhou, the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. The site is an elongated, irregular-shaped plot with fantastic views of the Jiaomen River and Phoenix Lake.

Aedas again withstood strong competitors from various Asian countries to win four 2016 MIPIM Asia Awards, including:

The 45,000-sqm project consists of an office tower and a retail podium. The project had an interesting challenge as a bridge between the low-rise, residential developments to the south and Changshou Road to the north.

This mixed-use project is a dynamic complex that encompasses a sky cultural plaza, retails, apartments, offices and a boutique hotel in the Jiefangbei Central Business District, the heart of downtown Chongqing.

Oldham’s area planning committee has approved plans for the first phase of Oldham College’s capital development programme, designed by Aedas, that will see its Rochdale Road campus transformed into a 21st century learning hub. Work begins on site on 4th February.

This building has been improved thanks to a £8.5m redevelopment project designed by AEDAS Architects. The station now has state-of-the-art facilities including new lifts and stairs which provide better access for passengers. Construction work began at the station in Spring 2010.

Starlight Place, the latest shopping mall designed by Aedas, officially opened its doors to its customers in Chongqing, PRC last month. With its unusual and dynamic angular forms, the iconic mall has become one of the few landmarks in the city since completion that is picking up speed in its development.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards presentation ceremony held on 28 April in Kuala Lumpur saw Aedas winning 8 prestigious awards amidst this year’s keen competition.
– Center 66 from Hang Lung Properties, Wuxi, PRC, won “5 Star Award, Best Mixed Use Architecture for China”, and subsequently won “Best Mixed Use Architecture Award for Asia Pacific”.
– Oasis Mall, Sanya, PRC, won “5 Star Award, Best Retail Architecture for China” and subsequently “Best Retail Architecture for Asia Pacific”.
– 18 Kowloon East, PRC, won the “5 Star Award, Best Office Architecture for Hong Kong”.

GMP Authority HeadquartersWorking with Ask Goodman Developments Ltd and in response to detailed discussions and workshops with the Greater Manchester Police, Aedas designed the 240,000 sq ft office to respond to complex inter-department relationships and operational aspirations. The six-storey stone and glass building offers a bright and open atmosphere that will be inviting to both staff and visitors. Aedas Director Dominic Manfredi noted “we are delighted that the New Force Headquarters has been given the go ahead and are pleased to have the opportunity to create a landmark building on the Manchester skyline.”

Aedas is honoured to receive an award at this year’s Cityscape Abu Dhabi Awards, at a ceremony held on 23 April at the prestigious Yas Viceroy Hotel in Abu Dhabi. U-bora Towers, which is located at the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, garnered the Commercial, Office & Retail Project Award in the Built category. This is the fifth award won by this project designed by Andrew Bromberg.

Aracatuba Shopping Centre – 16 Apr 2012
Aedas, in conjunction with Davis Brody Bond Brazil, has been appointed to design a major new shopping centre in Aracatuba. The 120,000 m² scheme is located on the fringe of the town centre and will incorporate retail and entertainment, including parking, food and cinema operators. Around 25% of space will be allocated to hotels and will provide opportunities for speculative commercial office development.

Aedas is delighted to announce that 313@Somerset and Marina Bay MRT Station were awarded respectively Best Design Land Transport Integration and Best Design Rail / Road Infrastructure – Project Partner at the recent Land Transport Excellence Awards. The ceremony was held at Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore, with Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Lui Tuck Yew as Guest-Of-Honour at the awards ceremony.

The application contains proposals for 20,000 square feet of new modern retail and restaurant space, a new civic building with One Stop Shop and new library, meeting and performance space for community use, new low carbon Council office space, and new streets and spaces for markets and events, amongst other aspects.

One of Aedas’ flagship projects, the Express Rail Link West Kowloon Terminus, was crowned Best Futura Mega Project at the MIPIM Awards 2012. The results were announced at the close of this year’s MIPIM, which was attended by some 19,000 of the world’s real estate professionals. Designed by Andrew Bromberg of Aedas, in a joint venture collaboration with AECOM, the high-speed rail terminus station will connect Hong Kong to Beijing with the largest rail network in our history as it completes construction in 2015.

Combining the intended use with a strong civic ambition within the one-north master plan in Singapore, the design for this project not only enjoys this duality but also seeks a solution that celebrates the diversity.
