Cottage Parisholmen Norway : Architecture
Norwegian Residential Project – design by SKAARA Architects
2 Apr 2010
Design: SKAARA Architekter
Cottage ”Parisholmen”, Krageroe
Status : not completed
The planned building spans across the gap between the rocks. The design gives a sequence of levels leading up to the viewpoint overlooking the fjord and the open sea in the east through a lighthouse-like glass corner. The green roofscape emphasises the shape of the terrain and creates a dynamic interior corresponding with the different levels.
The juxtaposition of the building with the rocksides forms a natural atrium giving room for a private space with a swimming pool.
The facade will be clad with untreated hardwood pine.
