Norton Ellis Architects, in conjunction with Nicholas Taylor & Associates.
Outline planning permission was approved by Ealing Council on the 14th August for an extension to the countryside park at Northala Fields, Northolt. The new area of park will be linked across Kensington Road by a foot and cycle bridge giving access to the new mound. The land transfer deal also gives permission for new housing on the Smiths Farm site, which is currently occupied by a mixture of builders yard and car repair workshops on greenbelt land.
The new housing scheme is made up of three blocks, which will provide 56 residential units. In addition the existing farmhouse and stables will be refurbished to provide 8 new dwellings, 50% of the new housing will be affordable.
The greenbelt site has made use of its special circumstances to create the new accommodation in a parkland setting whilst at the same time returning almost 50% of the site to the local community.
