South East Asian Property Developments - Thai Architectural Designs

Architecture in Thailand

We've selected what we feel are the key examples of Thailand Architecture. We aim to include buildings that are either of top quality or interesting, or ideally both.

We cover completed buildings, new building designs, architectural exhibitions and architecture competitions across Thailand. The focus is on contemporary Thai buildings but information on key traditional buildings in Thailand is also welcome.

We have 2 pages of Thai Architecture selections with links to many individual project pages.

Hilton Pattaya - added 24 Apr 2012
This Thai hotel building overlooks the Pattaya beach. The hotel lobby and bar occupies the 17th floor. The architectural intervention to the entire ceiling plane, with its dynamic wave lines, leads the movement of the visitors towards the seafront beyond. The fabric installation on the ceiling becomes a main feature in the space while simple elements on the ground provide a tranquil atmosphere.

Fai-Fah, which means “light energy”, is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme initiated in April 2010 by TMB Bank. This building by WOHA is located in the heart of Bangkok, surrounded by luxury hotels, shopping areas, and a large city park. The site is small and irregular, with a building plot ratio of 1:10. The design captures the value of the site by maximizing the building area and contributing to the urban environment with its planted facades, sky gardens and sky pavilions.
