in the new Sonn2 – smart, fresh, intelligent

The new building is the missing mosaic stone in the development area Sonnwendviertel. It is the beginning and transition to Helmut Zilk Park. High building density and a wide range of uses are the central challenges for this ecologically and economically viable building.

Urban development and user friendliness

RLP solves the problem of high density intelligently: The flanks of the building block remain lower, the number of floors in the area at Helmut Zilk Park is increased. The tanning of the northern neighboring buildings is thus improved. On the south west side, more light brightens the courtyard. The 30-meter-high component at the Helmut-Zilk-Park is also a first-rate landmark.

Living in the city

The special feature of the residential housing complex is the integration of almost all age groups. In addition to classic apartments and room-optimized smart apartments, the three-storey senior citizens’ house with 81 rooms and the even a kindergarten with 4 groups can be found. In addition, there are also residential communities for alone educators and assisted living.

A prerequisite for this diversity is the cost-effectiveness of the construction method. RLP has structured the house according to the principle of outer wall-middle wall range. Virtually any change, such as merging or expanding apartments, can be carried out without great economic effort.
