Work starts on Tottenham Hotspur FC training facility
KSS joined Tottenham Hotspur Football to mark the official start of works on the Club’s new Training Centre at Bulls Cross, Enfield at a special event yesterday.
The KSS designed scheme set in 67 acres will transform the current site into a world-class facility to house the First Team, Development and Academy. KSS have worked closely with Tottenham Hotspur’s football and coaching staff to fine tune the design to ensure that it meets fully the operational requirements of the Club, at the same time fitting within its sensitive location in a Conservation area and the London green belt. The result is an elegant modern design which is set to be one of the most sophisticated and modern sports training buildings in Europe, incorporating
state of the art facilities. It is also one of the first new build training centres that fully incorporates both first team and youth academy as well as supporting the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
Speaking at the launch event, Chairman Daniel Levy said: “Today marks a significant stage in a long and at times challenging journey to deliver a new training facility for Spurs here at Bulls Cross, one that will be the best in Europe. Any club with aspirations needs a world-class training centre in order to be able to attract and train top quality players.
Manager Harry Redknapp said: “This is a massive club and this new facility shows that we are continually looking to move forward and to compete at the highest level. It will be terrific when completed. Our players at all levels will thrive in these surroundings.”
Club Captain, Ledley King said: “Having come through the ranks here at Spurs and understanding the value and importance the Club places on developing home-grown talent, this facility will provide a fantastic platform for our Academy.”
