Westminster City Council has granted planning consent for the recladding and remodelling of 20 Grosvenor Hill. The building is owned by Grosvenor Britain & Ireland (Grosvenor), which was assisted with its planning application by architects TateHindle. The ground and first floor will become a new Gagosian Gallery.

Eastcastle Street, with its generous ground floor showrooms and proximity to Oxford Street’s shops, was once the centre of London’s ragtrade. In the last few years the area has undergone a shift in identity with the departure of clothing manufacturers to the Far East, and the arrival of several East End art galleries.

The first new, purpose built art gallery to be constructed on Bond Street since the early 20th Century has just been completed. The Richard Green gallery at 33 New Bond Street was designed by George Saumarez Smith, director at ADAM Architecture. The 591.4 sqm five storey building includes a gallery, board room, office, library and storage space.

New London Art Gallery : White Cube – 12 Oct 2011
White Cube open a third major art space in London. The building on Bermondsey Street is the largest of the gallery’s three London sites, providing more than 5440 m 2 (58,000 sq ft) of interior space on a site of 1.7 acres (74,300 sq ft). The building dates from the 1970s and was primarily used as a warehouse before the current refurbishment.
