Architecture Practice Information
ORMS architects studio based in London, UK
ORMS Since its foundation in 1984 this English architecture practice has been designing buildings that innovate and perform. From the trendsetting Next headquarters in 1986 to the progressive, multi-functional offices for ISG in 2007, ORMS has won awards for its visionary architecture.
Led by directors Oliver Richards, Dale Jennings and John McRae, the current portfolio includes a Cancer Ward, a Theological College, London offices, a Ski Chalet, a Music School, Sports and Leisure Facilities, a Mature Years Development and a Beach Resort.
Project diversity is a key feature of the practice, and the knowledge gained across a wide range of projects makes a critical contribution to the fresh ideas and innovative solutions that characterise the firm. ORMS designs the inside of buildings before the external envelope, and pays truly exceptional attention to detail. The practice puts a strong emphasis on teamwork and knowledge transference.
Based in a central London studio, the 50-strong team is working on major projects across the UK, in Europe and in Asia. As experts in interiors and the re-use of buildings as well as in masterplanning and new build, and with an expanding client base, the design studio is ready for the next 25 years.
