To interest these burgeoning new users, Triton Court was renamed Alphabeta, stripped back to its historic core and redesigned from the inside out. It started with a strong new direct route through the building from Worship Street (Shoreditch) to Finsbury Square (City).

The ME Hotel, London, UK

The ME Hotel – the first flagship hotel in which everything, from the shell of the building to the bathroom fittings has been designed by Foster + Partners – has opened in London. An elegant fusion of interior and exterior design, the scheme completes the grand sweep of buildings that make up the Aldwych Crescent, repairing the urban grain and restoring a little lost glamour to the heart of the West End.

The project recovers the essence of traditional architecture and simple agricultural building of the past rural Catalonia; local and organic materials, warm and with textures, dodging the high-tech solutions and specializations at the expense of a traditional, simple spirit.

The uncommon form, narrowness, vertical amplitude of the space and the two big glass façades placed on the main and back façade defined mainly the organization of the spaces.

Maison Multi-brand Boutique, Bengaluru, India

Inspiration for the design of this multi-brand boutique came from the way Indo-Islamic art and architecture use repetition of geometric forms to achieve intricate decorative patterns. Echoing the famous dome of the Taj Mahal and other landmarks of the Mughal period, a stylised hourglass form is repeated, building a texture and rhythm reminiscent of traditional patterns but made modern in its application, simplicity and materiality.

Produced for the LED lighting pioneer Megaman for their exhibit at Euroshop 2011 in Dusseldorf, this installation is pure simplicity.
