eVolo
2009
eVolo was founded in New York City in 2003. Led by a group of international
architects, the goal of the group was to create a forum for the discussion,
debate and development of novel architectural design in the 21st century.
One of the strategies employed by eVolo has been architectural competitions,
which have been an immense success on an international scale. The
first, which was held in 2005, received submissions from young architects
from over sixty nations worldwide to be judged by world-class jurors.
We believe that this collision of expertise and innovation is of momentous
value to the furthering of the discipline.
In 2009 eVolo announced the launch of eVolo Magazine, a bi-annual
architecture and design journal focused on technology advances, sustainability,
and innovative design for the 21st century. Our objective is to promote
and discuss the most innovative ideas generated in Schools and professional
studios around the world. It is a medium to explore the reality and
future of architectural design with up-to-date news, events, and projects.
