Urban Heritage Administration Centre in Diriyah
ZHA awarded first prize in the competition to build the Urban Heritage Administration Centre in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The competition for the 8,780m² head office of the Heritage Museum was initiated in 2015.

FCC, the infrastructure and environmental services group, has achieved a new milestone in international construction. The company has been awarded one of the contracts to build the Riyadh metro (Saudi Arabia), which has an estimated budget of over 16.3 billion euro, i.e. 2.5 times the cost of the Medina-Mecca railway. This is the largest international contract in the history of construction in which a Spanish company has been awarded a contract. The consortium headed by FCC will build lines 4, 5 and 6 of the metro. The contract is worth 6.070 billion euro.

Within a new financial district in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, the Crystal Towers are located in a unique location between the Financial Plaza – the financial centre of the masterplan – and the Wadi – a verdant pedestrian thoroughfare. The orientation of the two 18 and 26-storey buildings creates a visual and physical link between these elements which feature prime office and retail facilities.

This Saudi building occupies a prime location site of about 5,250 sqm of area in a newly developed neighborhood of Jeddah. It is an office building composed of a basement, ground, first, and second floor with a total area of 11,000 sqm.

Plans for a new £20m, 50,000 sqft, mixed-use development on the east coast of Saudi Arabia have been unveiled. Designed by Capita Symonds on behalf of a private client, the development comprises six floors of circa 8,000 sqft open plan office space, retail units on the ground floor, and a new gymnasium and spa facility.

The architects has six active projects within the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), a new 55 million-square-foot mixed-use urban community located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One of the firm’s projects in the KAFD is the Museum of the Built Environment, a key public building which will explore the important role that social, economical and environmental issues have played in the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region.
