Montreal Architecture – Introduction
Montreal is located in Quebec, in the south east of Canada. The city is the largest in the province, the second-largest in the Canada, after Toronto.

Key architecture in Quebec is located in the city – namely Habitat 67, Biosphere, Bibliotheque National du Québec – all important pieces of modern and contemporary architecture. Of these probably most celebrated architecturally is Habitat 67, which appears in many histories of Modern Architecture. The key recent buildings are the Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Stewart Museum and the Palais des Congrés in Place Jean-Paul Riopelle. All these buildings can be visited on our Montreal Architecture Tours.
Famous architects with buildings in Montreal include Moshe Safdie ; Saucier + Perrotte Architectes ; Les architectes FABG ; Provencher Roy + Associés architects ; Les architectes Tétrault, Dubuc, Saia et associés ; Hal Ingberg architecte and HCM Architects.
Montreal Walking Tours
Montreal Architectural Tours can focus on traditional Quebec buildings, contemporary buildings or both. e-architect can provide information on building types and geographical areas ahead of your tour. For example a group interested in Montreal office buildings could be provided with information ahead of their visit to Quebec.
Visitors can be met from their hotel or at the starting point of their Quebec walking tour.
