SKIN Competition, Texas Architect and ACADIA
TEX-FAB Events: We’ve been busy over the summer working on the next series of funded research projects, publications and upcoming events. Stay tuned for forthcoming updates including our new website and a future TEX-FAB event in Austin with a full symposium and more parametric design and digital fabrication workshops.
SKIN Competition Finalists
The four finalists for the SKIN competition are developing and fabricating their prototypes for the 2nd round of the competition. The final jury will be in early October with James Carpenter, Neil Denari, Mic Patterson and Bill Zahner.
TEX-FAB in Texas Architect
TEX-FAB is featured in the current issue of Texas Architect. By Scott Marble, the article details how we’ve directed the regional discussion on exploring future workflows in digital design from education to practice. We welcome our new Associate, Kory Bieg from UT Austin.
TEX-FAB at ACADIA Conference
We are looking forward to the ACADIA Conference were we will be exhibiting the four finalist projects from the SKIN competition and publicly announcing the winner. Also look for work from METALAB and OTA+ at the exhibition.
TEX-FAB connects professionals, students and the AEC industry to advance the discipline of architecture in its adoption of parametric design and digital fabrication.
