The Mirage Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Nevada

21 September 2021

Shining in the middle of the Strip, the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is far from an illusion. The Mirage is a world-class destination that has been one of the most epic landmarks on the Strip for decades now. If you have never experienced the Mirage, there is no better time than the present to, if possible, plan your trip to this masterpiece of a hotel.

One of the essentials when picking a Vegas Hotel is, in fact, their position. When you look at the map, everything seems so close, so it is very easy to undervalue this factor, when in fact, it’s imperative.

You certainly don’t want to spend hours on end walking just to see one place and do the same for another one because that doesn’t pay off. With that said, you should make things easy on yourself and choose a fairly central hotel. That’s why The Mirage is the perfect choice one can make.

One thing that can be noted is that there is no shortage of things to do at The Mirage or nearby areas. Sports enthusiasts will be glad to know that as a part of the hotel there is also a Mirage sportsbook which has been nicely reviewed here.

In case you are actually staying at this wonderful hotel, you should carve out some time to spend by the pool, which is a tropical oasis complete with waterfalls and palm trees, and you don’t have to worry about keeping the pool clean and well-maintained – a complete relaxation for your body, mind, and soul.

With the cost of $620 million to construct, the property’s 3044 guest rooms made it the largest hotel in the world, back in 1989, and today it doesn’t crack the top 10 biggest hotels in Vegas. Oh, how times changed.

Quick History

Built in 1989 by one and only Steve Wynn, the Mirage Hotel was one of the first extravagant hotels to grace the famous Las Vegas Strip. Steve said that he wanted to be different, unique and to try and initiate visitors into the realm of fantasy and luxury. Needless to say, he achieved his mission.

To try to explain how big of an impact this hotel had in this city, the one and only Caesars palace practically had to rebuild itself in order to compete in the New post-Mirage Vegas. If you get a chance to go to Vegas, don’t miss the chance to see the most impressive buildings in Las Vegas.

Linked by a free monorail to the neighboring Treasure Island, adjacent to Caesar’s Palace and across the street from the Venetian Resort Hotel, it truly doesn’t come as a surprise that people say that The Mirage is in the heart of the northern Strip.

Best Things about the Mirage Hotel

The Mirage hotel, in Las Vegas, is filled with all kinds of fun activities – see www.hardrockhotelcasinolasvegas.com/hotel. For instance, just outside the hotel, there’s a giant volcano with continually cascading waterfalls, which is quite an attraction there. Every night, between 8 and 11 pm, the artificial volcano explodes.

Additionally, with a huge outdoor pool, The Mirage pool is by far one of the hotel’s main draws and selling points. Also, there is an adults-only poolside lounge called Bare, so you can enjoy it all by yourself or with your loved one without the distraction of kids.
