Situated on the edge of Nashville’s famed Music Row at 17th Avenue South, Virgin Hotels Nashville is positioned between Vanderbilt, the rapidly transforming Midtown neighborhood, and the burgeoning Gulch district. Designed in partnership with Blur Workshop, the 14-story, 260-key luxury hotel contains Virgin Hotel’s flagship space known as The Commons Club, a rooftop lounge with an infinity pool, a gym and 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Sitting atop a topographic highpoint, the upper floors of the hotel will have commanding views of the surrounding environment, highlighted by dramatic views of Downtown Nashville.

Authenticity and craft inspire the design, sentiments prevalent throughout early 20th-century urban utilitarian structures. The modern interpretation of this inspiration focuses on form, order, texture, and materiality.

Brick masonry detailing provides appropriate scale and texture, while a celebrated expression of post and lintel construction is evident on the primary tower façade. The façade is punctuated with large windows that reference warehouse glazing from the previous century.

Exterior café seating enlivens the mid-block building and activates the pedestrian realm along Music Square West. On Division Street, an elevated dining terrace outside the signature restaurant continues to blur the distinction between inside and outside.

Within the building, an efficient network of service spaces support the guest experience. 173 below-grade valet parking spaces are accessible from a new private roadway which will connect Music Square West to the alley on the west side of the site.

“Nashville has always held a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled that Virgin Hotels has joined the iconic Music Row neighborhood. Given Virgin’s history in the music industry, Nashville was a natural fit for the expansion of Virgin Hotels. More importantly, we were drawn to the spirit of the Music City.”
