RIBA Lubetkin Prize Winners

8 Jun 2006
The Lubetkin Prize for the most outstanding work of architecture outside the UK and the European Union by an RIBA member went to Noero Wolff Architects for the Red Location Museum of the People’s Struggle in South Africa.

Favourite for the Stirling Prize 2006

Now the RIBA Awards 2006 have been announced I would suggest the Phaeno Science Centre by Zaha Hadid as a favourite for the Stirling Prize. Compared to projects such as Rogers’ Spanish airport this building is radical and questioning. That doesn’t mean to say I think it is better than Barajas and the other contenders, it just fits the bill. It is assured and innovative.
