GRIMSHAW WINS THE LUBETKIN PRIZE
We are delighted to announce that Grimshaws Southern Cross Station
in Melbourne has been awarded the prestigious Lubetkin Prize by the Royal
Institute of British Architects. The Lubetkin Prize is given annually
to the most outstanding building outside the European Union.
Sir Nicholas Grimshaw said of the stations success: I am thrilled
that Southern Cross Station has been awarded both an RIBA Award and the
Lubetkin Prize. Our team, in association with Jackson Architecture, has
created a ground breaking and landmark station, wholly unique in Australia.
It is excellent that the station is now being recognised worldwide.

This latest success for the station complements three awards from the
Australian Steel Institutes 2006 Vic/Tas Steel Awards, the Australian
Construction Achievement Award 2007 and the Victorian Industry Capability
Networks Industry Achievement Award.
