The space it not only on the ground floor.
There is also the exhibitions floor and storage space at the mezzanine.
The perimeter of the façade is 18 linear meters and 6,5 meters high,
wrapping the four sides of the building.
The construction work was finished in two months.
The store is a box that when it is closed, brings up curiosity. It doesn't show completely its interior even when it is opened.
The façade is made of formica covered with prints that are updated every season following the graphics of the current collection.
Inside, the strength is on the hanger installations, where acrylic finish fluorescent bulbs and tiles turn into products support.
I think that the Japanese are more curious and exclusivist than Americans and Brazilians. In Brazil the stores have to have a powerful front display window to show the merchandise, that is not important i Japan.
The store was built as per our first proposed layout. Alexandre just wanted to make sure that his store would have enough hangers and shelves to expose whatever he woud like.

O tamanho da fachada, que muda de estampa a cada temporada, são os quatro lados da loja um perímetro de 18 metros lineares e uma altura de 6,50 m.
A obra demorou 2 meses para finalizar
A loja é uma caixa que quando fechada provoca curiosidade e mesmo aberta não se expõe completamente. Sua fachada de fórmica será periodicamente adesivada com estampas da nova coleção.
Internamente o ponto forte são as "araras" (suportes para roupas) feitas com lâmpadas fluorescentes revestidas de acrílico e os azulejos que se "abrem" e se tornam suportes para produtos.
Acho o japonês mais curioso e exclusivista que o americano ou o brasileiro.
Aqui as lojas têm que ter uma vitrine poderosa e super expor o produto, no Japão isso não é importante.
A loja foi religiosamente executada de acordo com a nossa proposta inicial.
A única coisa exigida pelo Alexandre foi que projetássemos a quantidade de suportes ou araras suficiente para o que ele desejava expor.

KAA Restaurant, São Paulo
São Paulo is a City that reveals itself behind the walls which makes some places amazing and special.
The discrete facade of the newest restaurant KAA gives no hint of what may prove to be internally. Inside, the narrow space of 798 m2 gets a new depth through the Green verical wall with plants from the Atlantic forest. The water mirror on the botton of the tropical green wall refers to "Igarapés", that were so common before as well as nowadays in that region.
The huge stand at the bar that divides the big environment of the restaurant in 2 separate áreas is to suport indigenous original pieces which mimic with the bottles, cups and books. The roof made with canvas opens automatically. The furniture is contemporary and the philosophy of this place is transporting the urban "paulista" to a Green environment, it's an escape from the chaos.

São Paulo é uma Cidade que se revela atrás de muros que torna alguns lugares surpreendentes e especiais.
A discreta fachada do novíssimo restaurante KAA não dá nenhuma pista do que pode se revelar internamente. Por dentro o estreito espaço de 798 m2 ganha nova profundidade através da parede verde vertical com plantas oriundas da mata atlântica. O espelho d'água, aos pés do verde tropical, remete aos Igarapés que foram tão comuns e hoje são nessas paragens.
A enorme estante localizada no bar que divide o enorme ambiente do restaurante em 2 áreas distintas é apoio para peças originais indígenas que dialogam com garrafas, copos e livros. O teto de lona abre automaticamente. O mobiliário é contemporâneo e a filosofia desse local é transportar o paulista urbano a um ambiente verde, um "escape" ao caos.

Shells' beach
The project was built as a vacation house for a couple with 2 children, and was brought to life during the vist to the land. The house includes such features as suites, living rooms, of the Guaruja sea. Landscape and vegetation were preserved, with the structural platform becoming the base of the new area for development of the project. The client's desire for an external area where his children could play was integrated into the house, and the house itself is structuralized in steel, while the closings are all done in glass and wood.
~ Praia das conchas
A pouca mata nativa existente no terreno foi preservada e incorporada ao paisagismo criando a bem vinda ilusão de que a casa está inserida na natureza. Os espaços podem ou não ser integrados através de portas que se escondem nas paredes e proporcionam usos distintos ao mesmo ambiente. O uso em abundancia da madeira maciça (cumaru) com origem sustentável na fachada minimizou o impacto da construção na paisagem.
Shopping Cidade Jardim
São Paulo is a car driving city; pedestrians' hangout is not privileged. So, this mall project is an attempt to rescue that public street atmosphere. However, with all necessary security and services; it can be seen at the open spaces, in sidewalk floors, in the design of furniture and all the green.

São Paulo é uma Cidade que pouco privilegia os pedestres, o convívio social nas calçadas. O projeto desse shopping tenta resgatar a atmosfera da rua publica, porém, com a segurança e serviço necessários seja no ambiente aberto, no material utilizado, na pavimentação semelhante a calçada, no desenho do mobiliário ou na vegetação.
