15 Renwick in Hudson Square, between SoHo and Tribeca, a strongly-modelled building facade of dark aluminum reflective fins, creating strong shadows. Setback zoning requirements are played with to create mini garden terraces. New York City’s strict dormer rule can limit architectural design, but here it launched innovation.
