MHN. Design Union’s underlying design intent for Hewlett Street House was to explore the notion of “prospect and refuge” within a contemporary family house and then to apply the idea to a site near Bronte Beach, Sydney.
Redesigned by Nobbs Radford Architects, the Riverview House, wasn’t functioning for the clients. They didn’t need any more space, but needed the space to work better for their patterns of life and how they lived as a family.
This 6-bedroom New South Wales waterfront property design by Madeleine Blanchfield Architects spans 3 levels. The social spaces in the house are elevated – living, kitchen and dining – whilst the lower level’s private spaces open onto the garden and sea view.

Designed by Andrew Burns Architecture the Erskineville House consists of a full rebuild of a terrace house on a compact inner city site. The key challenge of the project was to introduce natural light into the core of the dwelling, achieved through the incorporation of a central lightwell.
