February 2011 – DuPont™ Corian® once again offers a dynamic and inspiring new perspective to the world of design and architecture: at the 2012 Milan week of design, DuPont will present its completely renewed colour palette for DuPont™ Corian® high-tech surface in Europe Middle East and Africa, including fascinating new colour tones developed for a wide variety of architectural and design applications, interior and exterior. The renewed colour palette will be complemented by an innovative and user-friendly mix of marketing tools designed to facilitate the selection of the most appropriate tone of DuPont™ Corian® for specific applications, in combination with other materials, such as metal, wood, glass, stone, etc…

At the 2012 Milan week of design, the new colour palette of DuPont™ Corian® will be the focus of an international exhibition titled “Corian® Colour Evolution”, in a concept developed by Italian architect Giorgio Zaetta, which will take place at Spazio Fiorentini, via Savona 35, Milan, from April 16 to 22.

“Corian® Colour Evolution” will see the creative participation of four dynamic furnishing firms – e15 from Germany (with designs by Philipp Mainzer), Moustache from France (with designs by François Azambourg, Inga Sempé, Ionna Vautrin, Benjamin Graindorge, Sébastien Cordoléani), Rabih Hage from UK (with designs by Rabih Hage) and TAO Esterno from Italy (with designs by Setsu and Shinobu Ito) – which will propose original solutions, made with the new colours of DuPont™ Corian®, alone or in combination with other materials.

The fabrication of DuPont™ Corian® high-tech surface will be by Altha® (Italy) for TAO Esterno; by Clarendon Fabrications (UK) for Rabih Hage; by Crea Diffusion (France) for Moustache; by Industrie-Manufaktur Hasenkopf (Germany) for e15. The exhibition will also benefit from the contribution of LED Luce e Dintorni company (Italy, advanced architectural LED lighting solutions).

The new colour palette of DuPont™ Corian® presented at the Milan week of design will be commercially available as of June 1st, 2012 in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“The markets we participate in are entering a new age, dominated by increasingly higher demands in terms of quality, service, internationalization and collaboration throughout value chain. The new colours and the new marketing tools that will be presented at the Milan week of design are the result of a process initiated several years ago.

We have analysed the history of DuPont™ Corian®, our successes and our challenges, we have sought feedback from many players within the industry and we have listened to their needs. We believe that the product and marketing innovations to be presented at the “Corian® Colour Evolution” exhibition – an example of collaboration-based enhancement – mark a significant step forward for the capabilities of DuPont™ Corian® to meet the technical, functional and sensorial demands that the industry of architecture, interior design and furnishing is expressing.” says Jean-Yves Bach, DuPont Building Innovations, Business Director, Europe Middle East and Africa.

“Our new colour palette expressing authentic, timeless elegance together with marketing tools based on highly targeted industry feedback, is enhanced by an optimised international reach in terms of supply and service. With a broad presence in every country in the region and expanded capabilities to capture and meet the needs of architects, designers and industry, DuPont is ideally equipped to deliver a refreshed “Corian® experience”.

This renewal will reinforce our industry leadership in man-made materials for architecture and design. In a period of economic trouble and high volatility, we have significantly invested in our product and in its evolution, clearly signaling our confidence and our strong commitment to all the markets we serve,” states Ruslan Yusupov, DuPont Building Innovations, Business Development Manager, Europe Middle East and Africa.
