The 1 Kemble Street building – like Centre Point by the same architect – was designed for Harry Hyams’ Oldham Estates.

Space House was originally designed as a luxury hotel and was intended to be twice as high.

A bridge links the 1 Kemble Street project to a smaller slab block onto Kingsway.
