Private dentistry clinic West House Dental is located in the heart of Pinner Memorial Park, one of the most beautifully maintained public spaces in Northwest London.
This unique location was chosen by West House Dental to open a luxury private clinic that doesn’t feel like a hospital and that greets patients in a serene and unintimidating environment where they can feel at home.

Dental clinics are notoriously associated with cold, stark environments where patients feel and uncomfortable. Design-wise, aesthetic features are often sacrificed to the detriment of practicality, which increases patients’ anxiety. This is something that West House Dental wanted to change.
The clinic’s contemporary aesthetic and approach, as well as the uniqueness of the location, were incorporated into the building’s interior design, which stands out through cleanliness and minimalism.
West House Dental wanted to respect the historical and natural significance of the park where it is located, which is why the design of the clinic blends in seamlessly with the surroundings. Focusing on clean, geometric lines and nature-inspired elements, the interiors instil feelings of calm, comfort, and relaxation.
One of the central interior design features of the clinic is the custom-made black crittal glass partition. Designed to retain as much natural light as possible, it creates a bright, modern and airy atmosphere similar to that of a show home. At the same time, the crittal glass partition serves a practical purpose by separating the clinical rooms from the patient lounge. The walkway has full wheelchair accessibility.
Adding to the elegance of the crittal glass partition and the geometric lines is the feature wallpaper with a tile-like finish. The wallpaper creates a minimal look and adds a touch of understated glamour to the clean, white walls.
In terms of furniture, the designers of the clinic wanted to challenge the traditional image of the waiting room and create a relaxing, inviting, and comfortable space for the patients. The large, grey, minimal sofas are aligned with the latest trends in minimal design, while the accent chairs by James Burgess add a touch of sophistication.
All the elements in the patient lounge have been carefully chosen to create a premium, modern look. The large potted plants in the patient lounge add a splash of colour and create a fresh atmosphere that perfectly matches the clinic’s surroundings.
From the lounge, patients can enjoy a stunning view of the six acres of parkland, which feature a lake with ducks, swans, and a beautiful fountain. Free Wi-Fi and refreshments are also available.
For the reception desk, West House Dental has collaborated with a local designer to create something custom and unique. The centrepiece Reception Desk A is made from polished plaster and has a modern look that perfectly ties in with the rest of the elements. A unique rotating feature on the reception desk is the rotating Clover payment terminal, which can rotate easily to face the customer or receptionist. It’s also designed to be a comfortable height for patients in a wheelchair.
Thanks to its unique and welcoming architecture and interior design, West House Dental has received stellar reviews from patients, who said that the warm setting helps them relax and even cured their fear of the dentist. West House Dental also won the Private Dentistry Awards in 2018.
