This award-winning British architecture practice’s own offices at 77 Wicklow Street are designed to cater for the needs of a rapidly growing company. The ground and lower ground floors of a former printing works were designed to encourage communication and interaction in an open and attractive environment.

Voids in the new floor slab unite the two floor levels, which are connected by two elegant staircases made of pre-cast concrete steps on a concrete spine, and channel daylight into the lower level.

The ground floor reception area is connected to the cafe and meeting rooms by a gently ramped glass bridge, with views down into the space where the office’s weekly project meetings take place. Informal meeting areas are provided adjacent to the main working spaces.

The project won a BCO Award and a Camden Design Award in 2002.
