Italian Villa Development
Design: Architettura Matassoni
Location: Montevarchi near Arezzo, Italy
Residential building in Montevarchi near Arezzo.
The set is strongly characterized by large elements of uptake of natural light that they become really towers and outer bearing elements of the composition; the whole is such a device to selection of the natural light, oriented so as to optimize the internal visual comfort.
It follows that the fronts were treated with different orientation in order to graduate the exposure of interior space.
While welcoming the previous version, the client requested a second project with architectural features more similar to his idea of residential building.
There is a contamination between structured natural elements and unstructured artificial elements and this element represents the feature of the project.
All architectural accessories have been designed with the aim of creating outdoor areas separate and distinct from each other and to the service at the various functional areas of the house.
The outdoor space becomes a sequence of subspaces articulated, integrated and connected to create a sequence of environments with different emotional characteristics.
