Best Hotels in the UK

23 Mar 2020

Great Britain is the birthplace of castles, leprechauns and, of course, a real Queen. Although the area of the country is small, each part of it is strikingly different from the others, both in its traditions and customs and in its landscapes. For example, Northern Ireland is a land of heaths and fairy tales. Wales is known for its ancient castles. Scotland deserves special appreciation for its kilts, bagpipes, strong whiskey, and the Loch Ness monster. In England, every piece of land is associated with the monarchy and its formation: Buckingham Palace, Nottingham, and York — the “elder brother” of American New York.

1.  London

London is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is multi-faced and diverse. Some will come here with the beautiful companion from rougeboulevard to visit the famous Baker Street and look at the house of Sherlock Holmes, others to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace or to wander around the museums. The most expensive hotels, of course, are located in the historical centre.

2.  Wales

Wales is a land of vast green meadows and ancient castles. Travelling from one village to another, it is impossible not to feel the magic vibe. There are not many hotels here, especially luxury ones. The most expensive and famous hotels are located in the capital of Wales — the city of Cardiff.

To Sum Up

Hospitality is one of the most important features of the English national character. No matter how discreet and prim the inhabitants of the Foggy Albion were called, they always had a special ability to receive guests and create comfortable conditions for them. Today, this is reflected in the quality of hotels in the UK: here, they know a lot about first-class service, excellent restaurants, comfortable interiors, and sophisticated entertainments.
