Architect Lenka Míková’s aim was to attain a natural feel instead of a perfect formal imitation. Natural and handcrafted materials like wood, stone and soil bring in an innate imperfection that becomes the main aspect of the project.

The Lake Cabin, designed by FAM Architekti, is located on the shore of Machovo Lake in Northern Bohemia and it replaces an older cabin which had been prefabricated here in the 1970s from panels containing asbestos.
The architects tried to assimilate the romantic context of this small village, under the massive cliffs and ruins of a Gothic castle. Andelska Hora (originally in German Engelsburg), belongs to a protected area of the country.

Traditional villages in the Southern Moravia region of the Czech Republic are characterized by their distinctive urban planning. The streets are lined with L-shaped row houses neighbouring each other on narrow rectangular plots, each with its own long and narrow backyard.

The task for the architects was to design a mobile, easily demountable, seasonal hotel made from three shipping containers. Additionally, the building was supposed to be ultimately self-sufficient and environmentally friendly.

Imagine you walk through a forrest and pass an old railway bridge when you realize there is a black house, suspended from one of the arches. Would you dare to climb in?
The concept is based on incorporating the forest landscape into a five-finger building to create new relations between the inside office and the outside forest landscape. A nature trail surrounding the building allows to explore the different forest ecotypes.

The new entrance building into Punkva Caves has replaced an old unsuitable structure. The characteristic feature of the building is a gently bent roof, which must withstand boulder falls from the surrounding limestone cliff.
This tiny house is made up of three main spaces: blue for sleeping, psychologically most suitable for a good night´s sleep ; white for the day zone ; red for the wood-burning stove and kitchenette.
