This zoological garden was founded in 1859. It is one of the oldest zoos in Europe and is a member of EAZA. It comprises 11 hectares (27 acres) and is located in the municipality of Frederiksberg, not too far West of the city centre (a long walk!).

Entasis is an award-winning Danish architecture firm based in Copenhagen. The design firm takes its name from the Greek word for tension.
