The building construction cost was approximately £559m.

The original Queen Elizabeth Hospital (NHS) from 1938 was named after the Queen Mother, and designed by Thomas Arthur Lodge.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham is an NHS and military hospital in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham.

The healthcare development is located close to the University of Birmingham. It replaced the previous Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Selly Oak Hospital.

Building construction cost: £545 million
Date of opening: June 2010
