According to the architects, “The large-scale building volume is a combination of a form penetrating the socle along the site boundaries and a circular form, which continues the different eaves heights of the neighbouring buildings with flowing projections and recesses. These staggering heights optically reduce the building’s dimension. Storey-high pilaster strips made from cast aluminium are an integral part of the façade construction, generating a continuous cohesion of the building even across various internal uses. A large video screen of approx. 70 m² attracts the attention of passerbys. Shop areas are situated on the ground floor and on the first and second floors, a hotel with the appertaining conference and gastronomic areas as well as an art gallery are located on levels 3 to 10.”
