LEAF International Event

The Leading European Architects Forum (LEAF)

2 – 4 Sep 2009

Venue: InterContinental, Budapester Straße 2, 10787 Berlin, Germany

The Leading European Architects Forum (LEAF) 2009 took place at the beautiful InterContinental Hotel in Berlin, Germany. The invitation-only forum that links architects and their suppliers once again proved to be an informative and enjoyable opportunity to network with existing and potential business partners.

LEAF International this year incorporated an exhibition which gave attendees the opportunity to source new ideas as well as meet exhibiting supplier companies showcasing their products and services to an international audience. Exhibitor companies included the likes of Energate, Laufen Bathrooms AG, Airnova, Hewlett Packard and many others.

In addition to the one-to-one meetings and the exhibition, LEAF International provided a cutting edge conference programme for attendees to learn more and benefit from a host of top industry speakers. Jurgen Mayer H was this year’s headline speaker whose topic was on the world of architecture in a global recession. Other speakers included Mathias Häußler of ENERGATE, who lead a presentation on ‘Passive Housing – Delivering a quality of life’, Richard Ogden, Chairman of Buildoffsite and Michael Pinto of Osborn Architects. The conference programme also incorporated an interactive Q&A Panel Discussion where the main theme was on how architects and designers were dealing with the economic turndown.

One of LEAF’s key attributes is the focus on quality over quantity. LEAF takes pride in the international community it has developed over the years and always aims to deliver beyond expectations. Research taken from this year’s event showed that a vast majority of attendees were positive that business would be generated from the meetings that had been organised by the LEAF International team.

Josko Kazija, Forum Manager comments: “The event was truly fantastic and with the positive feedback we received LEAF gets better and better every year. Delegates were able to generate new business contacts, network with fellow peers in the industry as well as take part in cutting edge panel discussions and workshops. We look forward to the ongoing success and an even better event next year in London at LEAF 2010!”

The dates for LEAF 2010 have already been confirmed with the event taking place in London on 8 – 10 September.
