Proposals at the Forge include new internal finishes throughout the mall and extended retail units to maximise retail use. Building Warrant applications were prepared & submitted to the local authories with the assistance of other specialised consultants.

1970s – 1990s: architecture practice established in Liverpool. Expansion with further offices throughout UK.
1990: architecture practice established in Northern Ireland;
1993: the design practice acquires local architecture office
1995: Northern Ireland practice becomes independent from UK practice. UK practice acquired by others.
2003: architecture firm in Northern Ireland registered as Limited Company;
2005: Relocation to new offices in Belfast;
2008: Associated offices in Dublin & Cork, Republic of Ireland
2009: Liverpool office opens (100 metres from original office in 1970’s)

Martins Bank Building Water Street to become an iconic 5* “Martins Hotel”
Castlewood Property Management, the owners of the iconic Martins Bank Building in Water street, has applied to Liverpool City Council for Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent to convert the entire building to a luxury 5* hotel. Castlewood had previously obtained consent in 2011 and 2014 to convert approximately 65% of the building to an hotel. Martins Bank, which had roots in Liverpool to 1563, opened Martins Bank Building in 1932 as its headquarters and the Banking Hall closed as a branch of Barclays in 2007.
