So the team conducted a collaborative ‘in-house’ design project to create the HofmanDujardin Office Villa inside an old warehouse. The space is already energising the team, inspiring visitors and proving that an office can be much more than just a place to work.

A successful collaboration between the renowned law and notary firm BarentsKrants and the Amsterdam firm Hofman Dujardin Architects has resulted in a remarkable building renovation in The Hague. The building was constructed in 1950 and was originally divided into a front building, with a majestic marble façade facing the main street, and building at the rear of the site, with two spacious atriums separating them.

The Bloomframe® building consists out of 43 apartments, offices and shops. Each compact apartment is equipped with a Bloomframe® balcony to create outdoor space. By transforming the facade into an accessible floor several square meters are added to the apartment. The opening and the closing of the Bloomframe® balcony creates a constant changing facade pattern. In the winter the facade is closed, during spring the facades opens like a flourishing flower.

Bloomframe® is an innovative window frame which can be transformed into a balcony. The dynamic balcony Bloomframe® gives the user a flexible living environment. Opening the Bloomframe® window offers the possibility to step outside and enjoy the outdoor space. With one simple movement, light, air and space are added to the interior. Bloomframe® is the three dimensional window frame of a new generation. Not only the interior, also the exterior profits of the window Bloomframe®.
