For me, being contemporary, or heir to a modern world, does not consist so much in the permanent search for innovation for the sake of innovation, but rather in going back to the beginning, and trying to do things again, a little better.
I believe that I am one of the Chilean architects who has been inspired by the spirit of indigenous or local traditions, updating them to connect them with the world, without remaining in the folkloric or purely local. I work with what is more universal than local, like Violeta Parra.
My attempt to relate the city with the culture and nature of remote places, is to find a sustainable destination for them, which makes them unique or unrepeatable, without putting them in a global world where remoteness no longer exists, it has been a contribution that has been The ideas that we have proposed have been valued and followed so that the Vineyards of Chile do not follow the model of the medieval and French castle, but rather seek their grace in the quality that they can give to the rite of coming together.

Para mí, ser contemporáneo, o sea heredero de un mundo moderno, no consiste tanto en la búsqueda permanente de la innovación por la innovación, sino mas bien en volver al principio, y tratar de hacer las cosas otra vez, un poco mejor.
Creo que soy uno de los arquitectos chilenos que se ha inspirado en el espíritu de tradiciones indígenas o locales, actualizándolas para conectarlas con el mundo, sin quedarse en lo folclórico o puramente local. Trabajo con lo que es mas universal de lo local, como Violeta Parra.
Mi intento por relacionar la ciudad con la cultura y la naturaleza de lugares remotos, es buscarles una destinación propia sustentable, que los haga únicos o irrepetibles, sin meterlos en un mundo global donde lo remoto no existe más, ha sido un aporte que ha sido valorado y seguido como han sido las ideas que hemos propuesto para que las Viñas de Chile no sigan el modelo del castillo medieval y francés sino busquen su gracia en la calidad que pueden dar al rito de juntarse.
