EMBAIXADA – Key Projects
Featured Building by EMBAIXADA Lisbon:

Date built: 2009

Casa Dos Cubos
This architecture project is a conversion of a former rundown factory infrastructure that plays a relevant role in the urban context of the city of Tomar, although without any particular architectural interest. Located at the beginning of the city historical centre, the building has been subjected to several attachments and changes over the years, finding itself threatened by some decadence and inadequate for the intended use.
Another recent architectural project by this Lisbon Design office:
NiangOu boat terminal, Linzhi county, Tibet, People’s Republic of China, Central Asia
Date built: 2013
The NiangOu boat terminal project in Tibet, developed by this Portuguese architecture studio with the Beijing-based office ZAO/Standardarchitecture. The project was published in DIVISARE, a contemporary architecture specialized website, based in Rome.
Located where Niyang River and Yaluzangbu River merge, the Niang’ou Terminal sits above a gently sloped bay, with old willows bowing over sand deltas. The bay then gradually turns into a steeper hill. Behind, layers of soft, nameless mountains.
The project originates from a reading of the primal landscape.
