We’ve changed our name! Billes Architecture is now Billes Partners.
We’ve made this change to better reflect the breadth of our design services: planning, project development, architecture, interior design, and graphic design. Billes Partners is focused on creating environments that inspire a love of living.
Gerald W. Billes, AIA, NCARB, NOMA
CEO // Principal
As an owner and principal of architectural and planning firms since 1975, Mr. Billes has extensive educational training and experience in architecture, urban design, and master planning. He holds licenses in architecture (3 states), interior design, and building construction. He has managed numerous architectural projects and planning studies for clients in both the public and private sectors. His work has included architectural design, site planning, interior design, land use and project feasibility studies, environmental impact studies, and transportation planning.
Mr. Billes has served as associate professor and adjunct professor at Tulane University‘s School of Architecture, and as an adjunct professor at Southern University’s School of Architecture. He has written articles and lectured to professional and non-professional organizations about the value of design and about specific aspects of the architectural profession.
Mr. Billes established Billes Partners to reflect his unified vision and values.
Richard S. Kravet, AIA, NCARB
Principal // Director of Architecture
A Principal since 2008, Mr. Kravet has over 25 years of experience in the practice of architecture. His extensive background includes urban design, planning, feasibility studies, and building design and construction for private and public sector clients. Currently licensed in the State of Louisiana and Mississippi and holding a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, his work experience includes significant projects in the states of Texas, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Louisiana. Mr. Kravet served as one of three Project Managers in the $166 million Louisana Superdome Repairs and Renovations project.
As Principal and Partner in Billes Partners, Mr. Kravet oversees the design development and technical production of all projects undertaken by the firm.
Lisa C. Herron, IIDA
Principal // Director of Business Operations
Ms. Herron has recently been named a Principal with Billes Partners, joining CEO/Principal Gerald W. Billes, AIA, NCARB, NOMA and Principal Richard S. Kravet, AIA, NCARB.
Since 2003 Ms. Herron has served as Billes Architecture’s Director of Business Operations, and has been a project manager for planning, project development, architectural and interiors projects for over 25 years. Her areas of expertise focus on facility programming, space utilization, planning and project management.
She has developed effective work processes and has been a guest speaker to national organizations in the design industry. She is responsible for managing project scopes, work processes, schedules and budgets. Her effectiveness in these areas have helped lead to successful projects and repeat clients.
