Chotto Matte Miami Beach
This is a design that blends Chotto Matte’s signature Tokyo urban vibe with Miami’s tropical life. The 220-seat restaurant and bar features Shou Sugi Ban wood ceilings, a highly graphic marble floor and lush, hanging gardens.

Beach House, West London
Beach House is a refurbishment to an existing 5 bedroom Edwardian home in west London.
Little remained of the original grandeur but its elegant proportions of the Edwardian style. It was decided to divide the house in two, with the private areas confined to the original upper levels and the public areas to the new rear addition.

Andy Martin Architects were selected from a shortlist of acclaimed British restaurant designers to restore and convert a classic 50s villa, situated in the elegant Anfa District, fancy heart of Casablanca, Morocco’s most cosmopolitan city. This villa was built in 1947 by Jean Francois Zevaco for the builder Sami Suissa and soon became an iconic building because of its beauty, modernity and originality.

The latest residential project designed by Andy Martin Architects: an ambitious redevelopment of an existing mechanics garage. Mews 02 is a single residence set in Belsize Park; the owners, a musician and his designer wife, wanted this existing mechanics garage to be converted to a 4 level family home, with the emphasis on the entertaining areas and with the ability to create private compartments over for sleeping.

Established in 2000 and based in London, AMA is a new generation architectural practice. The studio incorporates architects, interior designer, furniture, lighting, and product designers. andy martin architects is responsible for the creation and evolution of some of London’s popular restaurants including ISOLA, QUO VADIS and MASH. ama works in collaboration with London’s most renowned entrepreneurs and chefs, Oliver Peyton, the Hart Brothers and Kurt Zdesar. AMA also recently completed two very important residential projects for Noel Gallagher and his new wife Sara and for Olga Polizzi, the Hotelier. The work of AMA has appeared in numerous publications including ‘Cool Shops London’, ‘Interior Spaces of Europe’ and ‘Modernism and Modernization in Architecture’.

Andy Martin was born in Australia where he studied Architecture in Sidney and then at the Architectural Association in London. Andy then spent 5 years working with Marc Newson in Paris, after which, he went on to set up the Architectural practice AMA in Paris and was commissioned to create the new restaurant ‘Mash‘ in London 1998 and later Isola in 2001.
Andy Martin Architecture come with a wealth of international experience, with award winning restaurants in London, Hong Kong, Miami, Casablanca and Greece. They also have worked with some of the most influential London restaurateurs of the last decade including Chris Corbin and Jeremy King of the renowned Ivy Restaurant, Oliver Peyton of Coast and Isola and the Hart Brothers of Quo Vadis and Barrafina and Kurt Zdesar of Chotto Matte.
As well as restaurants, AMA have completed many residential projects in London and Australia most recently completing two very important residential projects for Noel and Sara Gallagher from Oasis and for Olga Polizzi, the international Hotelier.
The works of AMA has appeared in numerous publications including ‘Top 100 World Houses’, ‘Interior Spaces of Europe’ and ‘Modernism and Modernization in Architecture’. Awards include ‘Best Interior Design’, Time Out Eating and Drinking Awards 2000, ‘Best New Restaurant’, Evening Standard 2001, 2005, 2007, Best New Bar Design, Bar Awards 2003 and Best International Restaurant Design, 2011.
Individually, Andy also has been creating furniture and products over the last 10 years which have not only been commissioned for commercial restaurants and residential projects but for international manufacturers. His work has been shown consistently at the Milan Furniture Fair and many other fairs and galleries.
