Shoebaloo’s New Flagship Store, Koningsplein
Design: MVSA Architects
Location: Koningsplein, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The new Shoebaloo flagshop store on the Koningsplein in Amsterdam opened Wednesday November 27th. The most renown high-end shoe retailer celebrated the occasion with friend & family. MVSA Architects was responsible for the design of the futuristically designed shoe walhalla, in which each piece stands out in its own right.
Shoebaloo’s founder Hartog Streim has, after 38 years and realizing 7 stores and an online store, passed the baton on to his oldest son, Marlon Streim. Young, ambitious and full of passion Marlon now leads the shoe-imperium. For this flagship store Streim again chose to work with MVSA Architects, who have designed most of the Shoebaloo stores. The design was drawn by lead architect Roberto Meyer and senior architect Harry van den Berg. The flagship store carries all the current women’s and men’s brands.
Specially for the opening Shoebaloo launched the Celebration Editions, in collaboration with the world’s most prestigious fashion houses. The Celebration Editions have each been Shoebaloocustomized by employing the recognizable blue color.
