After winning the international architectural design competition, Stuttgart based wittfoht architekten were commissioned to build the extension of the World Trade Organization headquarters in Geneva. The new administrative building, integrated into the site, creates a feeling of openness and transparency.

As the beginning of a representation is marked by the abstraction of the sound and the darkness, the beginning of the project is marked by the abstraction of the gutter of the Place Charles-Sturm. Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has unveiled its plan for further investment in Geneva with a new building for its international headquarters. The aim is to build offices totalling approximately 25,000 sqm in the Sécheron area of the city by the end of 2013. JTI has instructed Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and Geneva-based architects group8.
