Stockholm University Campus
Project: New university in Stockholm, 60.000 m²
Opgavetype: International Competition - 1st Prize
Client: Akademiska Hus, Stockholm
Budget: 1,5 b sek
The new Campus Albano is located immediately next to the Stockholm Archipelago
in the northern part of Stockholm City and will form a connection between
the two current universities; the Royal Institute of Technology and the
University of Stockholm. The ambitious project unites the different university
faculties in one interconnected visionary scheme, in which all the spaces
for teaching and research are gathered underneath a dynamic landscape.
Above this the circular faculty buildings hover, all of which have light,
internal atria which give each of the faculties their own characteristic
identity and present the students and researches with plenty of space
of social and academic interaction.
