Miami Marine Stadium Building
Situated on the edge of Biscayne Bay this building hosted events ranging from high-speed boat races, to concerts featuring the biggest names in music. But since 1992, when Hurricane Andrew greatly affected Miami, the stadium has been abandoned, save for the graffiti artists who have transformed it into their canvas.

The project was the winner of an international competition in which we had to re-design a big area near the center of Turin (Italy) including a new ice hockey stadium for the winter Olympic games in 2006.

Korean Speed Skating Arena
Located on a 440,000㎡ site that was once used for garbage disposal, the site is now covered with abundance of pine trees. The main concept of the masterplan was to utilize nature, arena, and the plaza as ‘three layers’ to produce a layout that would communicate and harmonize with the surrounding environment.

After several months of discussions with three competing groups, the FFR has made its choice of designers and has issued the first computer-rendered images for the new French Rugby Stadium building.

The concept is based on contextual integration into the public spaces of the park and green sports axis along the river Somes. The main design driver is the transparency as dissolved boundaries and visual connexions outside in and inside out.

The Rock Stadium Building
A sunken stadium building built into the side of a mountain is one of two UAE projects to make the shortlist for the 2012 World Architecture Festival Awards in Singapore. This 40,000-seat stadium building is sunk into the ground. It is in the Future Projects category for the event at the beginning of October.

The Stadium „Arena Lviv“ was designed by the Austrian architect DI Dipl. TP Albert Wimmer for the European Football Championship 2012 in Poland and the Ukraine. In the preparation of the construction the Bureau Wimmer also designed the master plan for the area.

The new design for the reconstruction of the building respects the historic fabric with its important filigree prestressed concrete upper tier built in 1968, the frame of the new roof structure being detached and placed clear of the existing bowl. This most distinctive feature is therefore being encased in a new filigree glass façade and will be duly illuminated with appropriate lighting.

This stadium building will host the first EURO 2012 match. The building will form the heart of a new sports park. The construction of the building is divided systematically into two. The stand consists of prefabricated concrete parts.

As one of the few internationally active Dutch Architects Erick van Egeraat combines both the experience and skill to design venues as urban planning.

A team of 3XN, HKS Architects, Arup, ME Engineers and Planit has won the design competition for the new Copenhagen Arena, which will be situated in the Ørestad-area a short metro ride from the city center of Denmark’s capital. The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.
