Zhongshan Park Integrated Development Singapore
The design integrates this mixed-use development located in Balestier and the adjacent Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall by means of an unobstructed view corridor.
Modern interpretations of Chinese architecture and garden principles are introduced in the form of long covered walkways, Chinese lattice patterns that define key nodes and spaces as well as carefully selected softscape elements that evoke an oriental mood.
The low-rise retail podium reflects a strong multicultural identity, with bamboo-inspired screens, pitched roofs, horizontal timber-like louvres with vertical trellis that reflect the scale and proportions of Southeast Asian architecture.
