New photos by Keith Hunter of Juniper Court Halls of Residence, completed Summer 2015:

Clean-styled buildings using a simple palette of ivory blockwork and dark grey strips of windows. Picking up on the Modernist architecture – by architects Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall – the blocks step up the south-facing slope.

These new student flats look out over Airthrey Loch towards The National Wallace Monument.

View looking West, loch just off picture to the left – simple horizontal bands of fenestration:

Respected, sedate Modernist building with some smaller works by Morris & Steedman on the campus. The campus was designed in the 1960s by the Scottish architectural practice Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall (RMJM).

The buildings are low-rise, Modern in style and step up the slope with small gardens between the blocks. These gardens are divided by glass corridors which carry routes north-south up and down the slope.

The University received its Royal Charter in 1967.

The main campus is situated around 2 miles north from the centre of Stirling, closer to Bridge of Allan. It was formerly the estate of the Robert Adam-designed Airthrey Castle, which the University has retained and incorporated into the campus as teaching facilities and offices.
