27 Jun 2012 Ross County Stadium Dingwall Architect: Keppie Design Location: Dingwall, northern Scotland KEPPIE APPOINTED ON ROSS COUNTY FC REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT 27 June 2012 - Leading architectural practice Keppie Design has been appointed to design the redevelopment of Ross County Football Club. The project will see the Club’s Victoria Park stadium in Dingwall upgraded in preparation for promotion to the Scottish Premier League next season. images from architects The project comprises increasing the seated capacity of the stadium to 6,000 (for which Keppie gained planning permission in advance of the Club’s promotion). In order to do so, a new 2,000 seat stand will be erected at the away end, the existing East Stand will be extended and the traditional home Jail End will be converted to a seated enclosure. In addition under soil heating will be installed, a new car park will be constructed and the accommodation within the West Stand will be improved. The works, which are being undertaken by Global Construction, have already begun and are expected to be completed during the summer, in time for the new football season which starts on 4 August. Lindsay Allan, Divisional Director in Keppie Design’s Inverness office, is leading on the project. He said: “It is fantastic news that we are able to play a role in preparing Ross County for life in the Scottish Premier League.
