In 2008 FlexiDry Global Limited launched a floor screed additive into the UK market which dramatically reduces drying times.
Having already been used successfully in thousands of projects across Europe, FlexiDry is a cost effective accelerated screed system which can be used on a wide range of floor applications, giving a choice of dry times of 7, 14 or 21 days. It offers a controlled drying process and gives much greater consolidation and stability over standard screeds which are renowned for shrinkage, curling and cracking.
Using FlexiDry also allows the screed to be laid at a reduced thickness compared to standard cementitious screeds meaning fewer materials are needed per project reducing costs and carbon footprint. Being a high concentrated, low volume, non hazardous liquid, it is just added to the screed mixture on site, on demand, giving minimal wastage.
FlexiDry Floor Screeds are a perfect screed solution for Underfloor Heating. They provide a good conductor of the heat dissipated through the pipes and due to their high density and easy compaction, optimum performance is achieved. Recent comprehensive tests carried out by a recognised University show that a cementitious screed is 20 to 30 percent more efficient as a thermal conductor than an anhydrite screed.
Since their introduction to the UK, FlexiDry Floor Screeds have been adopted by tier one contractors Kier Group plc and Mansell plc and have been recently installed in The Greenpower Centre in Arundel; a sustainable building which are the headquarters for the Greenpower project promoting the development of green technologies. FlexiDry Floor Screeds are currently being installed at two London prestigious residential projects at The Lancasters and One Hyde Park by CSC Screeding Limited one of their approved contractors.
