Famous for his photographs of key American Modernist houses by Neutra, Koenig and Eames, especially in California.

Julius moved to LA in 1920. He started his photography career after leaving UC Berkeley in 1936 when he met with Richard Neutra, who became a life-long friend.
The first house he took pictures of was Neutra's Kun House in LA.
