Also known as the Maison Dalsace - House of Glass - this iconic building was designed by architects Bijvoet and Chareau.

Designed in a beautiful translucent style for successful Paris doctor, Dr. Dalsace and his wife.



Maison de Verre - new owner:
The Maison de Verre was purchased by Robert Rubin in mid-2006. He aims to live in the Glass House with his french wife Stéphane and his three children. Rubin is a doctoral candidate in architectural history at Columbia University. Rubin is writing his thesis on the architecture of Pierre Chareau and Jean Prouvé. He bought the house from its owners, Dr. & Mrs. Vellay. Mrs. Vellay is the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. Dalsace.

Robert Rubin rescued Maison Tropicale by Jean Prouvé from the Republic of Congo in 1997. He intends to renovate the Maison de Verre.
