Tour d'Eiffel / Eiffel Tower
Rue de Champ de Mars, Paris VIIe
1887-89
Gustave Eiffel

Scanned photo by Isabelle Lomholt, 1989
The tower is 300m high; antenna up to 324m.
Tallest building globally until the Chrysler Building was completed in
1930.
This has to be the most famous structure in Paris, an early skyscraper
that was not liked by many when built but now symbolises Paris, and France,
to the world.
