Molde Jazzhouse &

Keith Williams Architects has been shortlisted to design a new jazzhouse
and theatre in Molde, Norway, a coastal town famous for its annual international
jazz festival.

The town kommune is running an invited competition to choose an architect
to design the new building which will become the hub both for the festival
and year round cultural activities.
The new project will be Moldes central cultural building and will
incorporate a library, facilities for artists, residential units, retail
and outdoor spaces and will in total cover approximately 10,000m2.
KWA is currently working on a number of invited competitions in Scandinavia,
including Det Ny Søfartsmuseum (maritime museum) in Helsingør,
Denmark and the Kulturhus in Flekkefjord, Norway.
In Molde, Williams will be competing against JKMM Architects, 3XNeilsen
A/S,
Studio Andrew Todd/ 3RW Arkitekter AS and HLM arkitektur & plan as.
The teams have until 9th of July to prepare their proposals.
