House V in Munich
House V is a large house on a small plot of land and an even smaller budget. On the outside it is very red and on the inside very raw. The house is well insulated and includes a geothermal pump and air-handling system minimising operation and maintenance costs. House V is not specifically an “Environmental” house but rather just simple and smart.

Ben van Berkel: “In the design for the facade of the building we chose for an articulated sobriety, incorporating contrasting scales of detail. Lenbachhaus Museum
The Museum’s historic buildings have been restored and the exhibition spaces augmented by a new wing. The 1972 extension has been removed to reveal the wall of the original villa. As well as radically improving the buildings’ environmental performance, the remodelling has created a new entrance, restaurant, terrace, education facilities and a full-height atrium. The project improves circulation and allows access for all.

Dramatic, exciting, and iconic architecture enhances and amplifies everyone’s experience. In the modern world, where image is critical, it can also significantly increase the brand values of a stadium and its sporting team. Modern stadia have become complex and sophisticated buildings, providing a range of facilities for spectators, the media, participants, and operators.

The Bilger Breustedt Elementary and Secondary school is open to nature with bright, sunny and spacious classrooms, and well-defined and readable outdoor function areas. The new with the existing buildings form an ensemble that blends into its surroundings. The buildings define its shape from its position on the site as well as their content.
